Ardog Kennels has been breeding, showing and loving German Shorthaired Pointers since 1981.  I bought my first Shorthair after studying genetics in university where I could apply what I’d learned to breeding my favourite dogs. Since then, I have exhibited and titled dogs in the field, show, and obedience rings.

GSPs are good family dogs, as comfortable curled up on the couch with you as they are going for a run. They like to be good dogs, proving highly intelligent and trainable.  They love hiking, biking, swimming, camping, boating and just generally being with you.

Although our dogs are show quality, we prefer to place them with loving, active families since those are always the best homes for a dog. Our breeding stock have hips certified clear of hip dysplasia, and eyes certified as well. Puppies are raised in the house so they are well socialized and their health is guaranteed. As a registered breeder all of our dogs are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. In addition, I am also a member of the GSP Club of Canada.

Located in the Squamish Valley in a wilderness area we usually have about 10 dogs ranging in age from 1 to 14 years old. Although they have free range over 10 acres they often end the day on the couch. We usually have one litter a year but do regularly have older dogs available too.
